“Health law gives me the opportunity to combine my background in public policy with thoughtful, practical advocacy for my clients.”
Jordan Spears joined the firm after completing her articles at a large full-service Canadian law firm. Jordan advises and represents clients on a variety of health law, privacy, and administrative law matters. She has appeared in arbitration hearings and Small Claims Court proceedings, and assisted clients through complex disputes and regulatory processes. Drawing on her experience in both legal practice and public policy, Jordan approaches each matter with a thoughtful, practical, and client-focused perspective
Jordan has a longstanding interest in health law and the intersection of law, policy, and public institutions. Prior to law school, she worked in provincial and federal government roles focused on public health, policy development, information governance, and knowledge management.
Jordan is also passionate about mentorship and professional development. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed supporting students through formal and informal mentoring relationships and believes that investing in others strengthens both the legal profession and the communities it serves.
Jordan earned her J.D. from the University of Ottawa, where she completed a legislative internship with a Canadian senator. During her studies, she also participated in international exchange programs and worked as a research assistant supporting legal scholarship in business law.
Before attending law school, Jordan completed a Master of Information at the University of Toronto, a Master of Arts in History at Queen's University, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of King's College.
Outside the office, Jordan is an avid supporter of public transit and can often be found exploring Toronto on foot. She enjoys sailing, skiing, cycling, hiking, reading fiction, and searching for the city's best value bottle of red wine.
